Still is built to help you protect one intention from distraction. The app is designed around local storage and Apple’s system focus controls rather than an account or cloud service.
1. Information you enter
When you create a focus session, you can enter an intention such as “Finish the onboarding flow.” Still stores that intention on your device so it can show it during the session, in completion/reflection, and in your local session history.
Still does not translate, analyze, or profile your intention.
2. Focus session history
Still stores a minimal history of finalized focus sessions locally on your device. A history record can include the intention, when the session started and ended, the planned duration, the reflection outcome, and whether app protection was requested or active for that session.
Still does not provide cloud sync.
3. Apple Screen Time controls
If you choose app blocking, Still uses Apple’s Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity APIs. You choose the apps, categories, or websites you want to restrict during a focus session.
Apple provides privacy-preserving selection tokens for this system. Still treats those tokens as opaque and does not attempt to reverse-engineer their underlying identifiers.
You can use Still without app blocking. When Screen Time permission is unavailable or no distractions are selected, Still can run a timer-only focus session.
4. Lock Screen and Live Activities
Still can use Apple Live Activities to show your current focus session on the Lock Screen and, on supported iPhones, the Dynamic Island.
If Show intention on Lock Screen is enabled, your current intention may appear there. If you turn it off, Still uses the generic label Focus instead.
This preference applies to the Lock Screen and Live Activity presentation. It does not remove the intention from Still’s in-app focus flow or from the system shield used for selected distractions.
5. Accounts, analytics, advertising, and tracking
Still does not require an account. Still does not include third-party advertising, third-party ad tracking, analytics SDKs, or cloud synchronization.
Still does not use your focus intentions to build an advertising profile.
6. Network use
The core Still app does not require a developer-operated backend to run focus sessions, store history, or apply Screen Time protection.
Apple system services may perform their own operating-system-level communication as part of iOS. Those services are governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy practices.
7. Data retention and deletion
Still keeps its app data locally on your device. Deleting Still from your iPhone removes the app’s local data through normal iOS app-deletion behavior.
Still does not use an account system, so there is no account-deletion process.
8. Changes to this policy
If Still’s data practices change, this policy will be updated to reflect the current version of the app.
